Category II faculty member in the Computer Information Systems/Business Analytics department at Metropolitan State College of Denver, and the co-coordinator of their Introduction to Computer course. Alysyn received her master’s degree at the University of Colorado in Computer Science and Information Systems and a master’s degree at the University of Denver in Leadership and Organizational Change. Her research includes security issues that affect businesses with emphasis on the user as well as innovative changes in IT. She has presented at a NCADA conference in 2011 on “Online Advising Course: Leveraging Technology to Minimize the Impact of Budget Cuts”. She is an active member and previous parliamentarian of the KMPG Ph.D. program 2020 conference, a member of the National Cyber Security Center (NCC), the Association for Information Systems (AIS), and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).

She has worked in the educational field for over 20 years in different capacities and considers her role as one that brings positive change to student’s lives.
