While a true Southern girl at heart – lover of walking barefoot, beaches, gorgeous sunsets, BBQs, spades games, and fall sports, Danisha Allen is currently the Owner of PraTique Consulting, a boutique IT solutions company based in Metro Denver. She started her career in Information Technology at the age of 18, first working for the USDA in Washington, DC. Over the past 20 years, she’s worked on designing greenfield technologies for Fortune 100 and 500 financial institutions, government agencies, wellness companies, and startups. Eventually, she felt it was time to take her talents to those who needed it most, but rarely had access to it – minority small- and mid-sized businesses. Today, she boasts domestic clients in Denver, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Louisiana with expansion pending in India, Canada, and Mexico.
She recently became an elected member of the Board of Directors for Florence Crittenton Services and is a former member of the Urban League Young Professionals. Upon her arrival to Denver, she served as a mentor for Black high school girls. In the midst of a global pandemic, she managed to co-author an anthology that focuses on the untold injustices suffered by Black women in the workplace – “Shut’em Down: Black Women, Racism, and Corporate America” was released in October of 2020. Danisha is both an MBA recipient and a proud HBCU graduate of Kentucky State University. As her business grows, she and her husband of 12 years spend their time time raising 2 young kids as well as enjoying traveling, hiking, cooking, and building their village.
