BIO
My name is Gemma James, and I am a passionate leader who believes in creating meaningful change through education, community, and collaboration. I currently work in property management, where I enjoy building structure, solving problems, and creating spaces that bring people together.
I’m pursuing my Doctorate in Education Administration, with the goal of becoming a Principal and eventually serving as a Board Member for the Department of Education. I’m driven by a desire to make lasting impacts in schools and communities—especially when it comes to improving organizational structures, supporting staff development, and creating safe, inclusive environments where everyone can thrive.
I’m a natural problem-solver and a doer. I love seeing the bigger picture, creating best practices, and bringing ideas to life. Outside of work and school, I enjoy spending time in nature, reading, meditating, and practicing yoga to stay centered and inspired.
EDUCATION
I hold a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and a Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Management, and I’m currently pursuing my Doctorate in Education Administration. My studies have strengthened my passion for leadership, problem-solving, and building supportive environments where both educators and students can thrive. My ultimate goal is to become a principal and later serve as a Board Member for the Department of Education, using my experience to drive positive change and create stronger, more equitable educational systems.
WORK EXPERIENCE
I have a diverse background that spans education, healthcare, leadership, and property management. My career has been centered around people—building systems that work, creating structure, and helping others succeed.
In property management, I’ve led community operations, strengthened resident relations, and implemented processes that improve communication, accountability, and performance. My experience has taught me the importance of organization, empathy, and leadership in fast-paced environments.
Before that, I spent several years working in healthcare and education, where I focused on training, quality improvement, and workforce development. I’ve also had the opportunity to teach and mentor students in healthcare pathways programs, helping young people explore meaningful careers.
Across every role, I’ve been passionate about leadership, collaboration, and continuous improvement—finding practical solutions to challenges and creating inclusive environments where people can grow and feel supported.
