Born and raised in Northeast Denver, Kendrick was instilled with a keen sense of community, culture and the importance of education. Kendrick is committed to creating opportunities for underserved populations through education, social justice and advocacy. Throughout his professional career, Kendrick has created opportunities for students to obtain a college education, develop soft skills, helped improve retention and matriculation of students of color in secondary and postsecondary education and most importantly played a part in developing emerging leaders.
Kendrick intends to leave a legacy as an educator, mentor and community advocate who provided opportunities and made a difference for those he served. As a transformational leader, Kendrick wants to be remembered as someone who walked the walk and gave selflessly of himself to leave the world a better place.
Kendrick lives by the motto: Be true to you. As Fred Hampton said, “”If you walk through life and don’t help anybody, you haven’t had much of a life”
