Lakisha Gentry is a multifaceted and driven woman who has dedicated her life to serving the community and empowering others. She was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, where she discovered her passion for community outreach and making a positive impact on people’s lives. As an administrative assistant for Denver Metro Young Life, a non-profit Christian organization that reaches out to middle school, high school, and college students. Here, she honed her organizational and interpersonal skills while contributing to the growth and success of the organization. She also sits on their DEB task force. Additionally, she serves as the community outreach chair for the Urban League of Young Professionals, where she works to empower and uplift young professionals in her area. She has worked tirelessly to raise awareness for various social causes, including education, health, and economic empowerment. Lakisha is also a member of The Denver Foundation Advisory Committee for Community Impact, where she uses her skills and expertise to help guide the foundation’s initiatives and programs. In 2020, Lakisha decided to pursue her entrepreneurial dreams and founded Chicks That Print, a printing company that specializes in custom apparel and promotional items. With her business acumen and dedication, she has turned Chicks That Print into a thriving enterprise, providing high-quality services to clients across different industries. A proud alumna of the Urban Leadership Fellowship class of 2020, Lakisha is passionate about developing her leadership skills and helping others do the same. She is the organization manager of the Spillionairs Youth Organization, where she works to inspire and mentor young people in her community. Despite her busy schedule, Lakisha always finds time to give back to her community. She is a devoted mother of five and regularly volunteers at local schools, churches, and non-profit organizations. Lakisha’s passion for service and her commitment to making a difference in people’s lives have earned her a reputation as a respected and influential member of the community. Her story is a testament to the power of hard work, determination, and compassion.
