BIO
Lesley Pace-Gormley is a native of Aurora, Colorado and a proud graduate of Howard University where she obtained her B.B.A. in Computer Information Systems while minoring in Information Assurance. She later obtained her M.S. in Human Computer Interaction from Drexel University. Lesley currently works at Google as a User Experience Researcher on Google Workspace products like Google Sites, Sheets, Drive and Docs. She is also the co-founder and former co-lead of the Black Googler Network in Boulder, CO and of Blerd, a local meetup for Black techies.
In addition to her technological pursuits, Lesley is a certified yoga instructor, speaking coach, keynote speaker, mindfulness coach, and wellness advocate. In both the realms of yoga and technology she realizes there is a tremendous lack of diversity. It is her goal to increase the amount of people of color and members of other marginalized communities in these spaces. In her free time you can find her bopping around the world for leisure, uplifting her community through her beloved Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., gracing the pages of Yoga Journal, and reading bell hooks to children.
