BIO
I work as a Government Program Manager for Metrc headquartered in Lakeland, Florida. Metrc is a software company that specializes in seed to sale tracking system for agricultural products. I work on behalf of Colorado, Montana, Louisiana and Mississippi cannabis programs to ensure their government agencies the tools driven by legislation to regulate public safety. My career began in Saas workforce solutions/human capital management. My most recent role was as a Salesforce Administrator and Product Analyst at Zayo. I also work with my family’s baking business, Miss Peabody’s Southern Tea Cakes.
I’m a third generation Denverite and am passionate about my city and state. I’ve worked behind the scenes providing grant writing and technical support for the Epworth Foundation through Women of Faith Health Initiative. I’m a co-founding member of the Sisterhood of Philanthropists Impacting Needs (SPIN), a philanthropic giving circle of Black women who seek to empower and positively impact marginalized women and girls.
While at Zayo, I also served as a Career Coach for Denver Public Schools mentoring young minds interested in STEM careers. I’m a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Denver NAACP, National Council of Negro Women, and CBWPA. I am also a graduate of the 2019 cohort of Emerge, a 6-month intensive program that teaches Democratic women to run for office, while running for Denver City Council simultaneously. I am also a precinct captain for HD7. Most recently, I was elected as the treasurer for the AADID ( The African American Diasporic Initiative of the Democratic Party).
In my spare time, I love anything to do with music and enjoying life’s pleasures. However, my greatest achievement is my eleven-year-old son, Kaleo (Ka-lay-Oh)
